Emirates' Final 8 Routes On The Massive 615-Seat Airbus A380: See Flights Now

Everyone knows that Emirates is overwhelmingly the world's largest Airbus A380 operator and always will be. ch-aviation shows it still has 116 frames, with many different seat counts and configurations. The most notable version is the two-class, non-first-class, 615-seater.

It is the world's highest-capacity superjumbo layout, but only for a short time. It is being replaced by a new 569-seat, three-class alternative with a premium economy cabin. As a result, the number of routes on which the 615-seater is deployed is rapidly shrinking.

Emirates' Eight Remaining Routes On The 615-Seat Superjumbo

Analyzing the Gulf giant's schedule submission to OAG for September 2026 through next summer shows where this massive double-decker continues to fly, or will soon. As the 569-seater is increasingly taking over, the route network could easily change. As such, treat this article as a snapshot of what's known as of September 3.

Between September and next July, Emirates plans 1,491 departures on the 615-seat layout from DXB. Expect this number to reduce in 2027. Flights to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and London Gatwick Airport (LGW) will account for a considerable seven in ten of them.

Compared to September 2025, flights on this enormous aircraft have fallen by 93%, from 372 departures to just 25. The following table shows why, with almost no routes seeing it. Come November, departures on the 615-seater will rise to 120, but will still be down by 68% year-on-year.

How The 615-Seater's Network Has Changed Recently

Recall that Emirates plans 1,491 departures on the 615-seat layout from DXB between September 2026 and July 2027. In comparison, 3,142 outbound services were available between September 2025 to July 2026. In addition to the reconfiguration, the ongoing war in Iran has also had an influence, as Flightradar24 shows that various frames remain grounded.

Activity has fallen 52.5% year-over-year. 27 routes then saw the layout, with — not surprisingly — a lot of commonality with where it is now flown. Critically, the number of markets was so high because 12 of them only saw the 615-seater between one and ten times. This includes Saudi Arabia's Medinah, famous for pilgrimages, which did so on November 3, 2025, December 25, 2025, and January 8, 2026.

Emirates Plans 87 Daily Departures On Its Full A380 Fleet

Between now and next July, the latest information shows Emirates plans an average of **87 scheduled A380 departures from DXB. This includes all the carrier's **configurations, not just the 615-seat version.

Outbound services will range from as few as 67 (on September 28 only) to as many as 87 (on many dates starting on December 1). OAG shows the record was 94 each day, set on two dates in August 2019.

When Emirates' other passenger aircraft (the A350-900, 777-200LR, and 777-300ER) are combined with the A380, an average of 260 daily departures will be available. The double-decker quadjet will operate a third of them. The superjumbo's most common departure time from DXB will be at the fun time of exactly 2:50 AM, with routes to BKK, Hong Kong, LGW, New York JFK, Mauritius, and Shanghai Pudong. At that precise time, only LGW flights will be on the 615-seater, at least for now.
