The Economic Freedom Fighters has opened a case against podcaster and cultural activist Ngizwe Mchunu following violent clashes in Inanda where the EFF was launching its provincial elections manifesto.

Tensions flared in Inanda when EFF members and supporters of podcast personality Ngizwe Mchunu clashed over rival events held at sports grounds opposite each other. Gunshots were heard as police struggled to contain the confrontation.
