African Union Commission (AUC) Chairperson met with His Excellency (H.E.) Colonel Michaël Randrianirina, President of the Refoundation of the Republic of Madagascar

H.E. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Chairperson of the African Union Commission, met with H.E. Colonel Michaël Randrianirina, President of the Refoundation of the Republic of Madagascar, on the margins of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

They exchanged views on recent developments in the region and the situation in Madagascar, notably the ongoing political consultations.

The Chairperson reiterated the African Union’s commitment to accompany Madagascar on the return of constitutional order.
