Every house I have now has a farm – Ofori Amponsah

Highlife musician Ofori Amponsah has opened up about his investment journey, revealing that he has moved from spending heavily on luxury cars to putting more of his money into agriculture.
The musician, speaking on Hitz FM, said his interest in farming was influenced by his upbringing, noting that his father was a businessman who owned farms while he was growing up.
“My dad was a businessman who had farms and everything. So while people were spending vacations in Accra, I was spending time on our farm. So I mean, I’m a farm boy,” Ofori Amponsah said.
According to him, the farming experience has remained part of his life over the years and also influenced how he invests his money today.
“When you come to my house right now, every house that I have, there’s a farm. I use to spend heavily on luxury cars and houses, but not anymore,” he said.
He said he once had about seven cars including an Audi S5, BMW 8 Series and 7 Series at home but eventually began questioning the wisdom of putting so much money into vehicles that depreciate over time.
This experience, he added, made him realize that the money could have been channeled into investments that generate longer-term value.
One of such investments is agriculture, and now every house he owns has a farm for both domestic and commercial purposes.
