El Mansouri’s appointment published in Morocco’s Official Gazette

Fatima Zahra El Mansouri’s appointment as Morocco’s head of government has been formally published in the Official Gazette, following her party’s victory in the Sept. 23 legislative election.
Royal Decree No. 1.26.76, published in Official Gazette No. 7548 on Oct. 1, appoints El Mansouri to the position, with the appointment taking effect from Sept. 29.
King Mohammed VI appointed El Mansouri on Sept. 29 and tasked her with forming the new government. She is the leader of the Authenticity and Modernity Party, which won the largest number of seats in the election.
