Upper East Regional FA sets 29 October date for 2026 Ordinary Congress

The Upper East Regional Football Association (UERFA) will hold its 2026 Ordinary Congress on Thursday, October 29, as preparations begin for the 2026/27 football season.

The statutory meeting will be held at the Bolgatanga Regional house of Chiefs Hall, beginning at 10:00am. Delegates, club representatives and other stakeholders involved in Northern Region football are expected to attend.

As the Associations highest decision-making forum, the Congress will allow members to assess the work completed during the previous season and decide on key issues affecting the next campaign.

The agenda includes a review of the past season, consideration of the Associations Activity Report, Financial Statements and Auditors Report, and approval of the budget for the new season.

Delegates will also discuss the competitions calendar for 2026/27, football development programmes and other matters linked to the administration and growth of the game in the region.

The gathering will give the Executive Council, headed by Upper East Regional FA Chairman Alhaji Salifu Seidu Zida, the chance to meet clubs and other stakeholders to discuss progress made over the past season.

It will also provide a platform to address the challenges affecting grassroots football in the region, with members expected to contribute to deliberations on the Associations future plans.

In line with the Ghana Football Association Statutes, the relevant Congress documents and agenda have already been circulated to members. The distribution is intended to give delegates enough time to study the proposals and prepare for the meeting.

The outcome of the Congress will provide the framework for the new regional season. The Association is expected to announce when its various competitions will begin after the statutory meeting.
