Antwi was named Most Valuable Player after scoring the only goal in Western Regions 1-0 victory over Upper West Region in the opening game.
The forward delivered a decisive contribution in the 80th minute, breaking a stubborn deadlock and giving Western Region an important win. His performance throughout the match also earned praise as he helped his side withstand a determined challenge from Upper West Region.
Western Region had been unable to find a way through for much of the contest, but Antwis late intervention settled the match and secured all the key rewards from the fixture.
Ashanti Regions Issah Seidu claimed the Best Player of the Match award after playing a prominent role in his teams encounter with Eastern Region.
The second Group A match ended 0-0 after regulation time, with both sides defending effectively and failing to create the breakthrough needed to settle the contest.
Ashanti Region eventually progressed after a tense penalty shootout, winning 6-5 from the spot. Seidus overall contribution during the match earned him the individual accolade as his team edged one of the days most closely contested fixtures.
The results gave Western Region a narrow victory in the opening Group A game, while Ashanti Region secured its success only after the shootout against Eastern Region.
The MTN Elite U-19 Championship continues to provide young footballers from across Ghana with an opportunity to compete in a demanding environment and demonstrate their ability.
