Atlantis police seek public’s help to identify two people linked to Witsand murders

Atlantis SAPS detectives are appealing to the public for help identifying two people believed to be able to assist with investigations into two separate murders in Witsand, Atlantis, ***Cape {town} Etc ***reports.

Police have released identikits of the individuals as detectives work to establish what happened in the two fatal shootings.

The first incident happened on Sunday, 16 August 2026, at about 12:25 in Nqanqarhu, Witsand. Police responded to reports of a shooting and found an unidentified man who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.

More than a month later, another fatal shooting was reported in the area.

On Tuesday, 22 September 2026, a male victim was found fatally wounded following a shooting in Chris Hani Street, Witsand.

The two incidents are now being investigated by Atlantis SAPS detectives, who are seeking information that could help them identify the people depicted in the identikits.

For residents, the appeal is a reminder that information about suspicious activity or people linked to violent incidents can be important in helping investigators piece together what happened.

Anyone who may know the whereabouts or identity of the individuals is urged to contact the investigating officers.
