Odu Hails Lulu-Briggs Foundation For 25 Years Of Humanitarian Service

Rivers State Deputy Governor, Prof. Ngozi Odu, has commended the O.B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation for its 25 years of service to humanity, describing its interventions as a source of hope to the privileged and less privileged.

Odu gave the commendation during the Silver Jubilee anniversary of the O.B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation at the Chapel of God International Worship Centre, 22 Forces Avenue, Old GRA, Port Harcourt on Monday.

Represented by her Senior Special Assistant, Mrs. Doris Oyil, the deputy governor said she was delighted to be associated with the foundation, noting that its numerous humanitarian projects have positively affected lives in different communities.

According to her, the foundation’s interventions in support of men, women and vulnerable members of society are worthy of commendation.

She prayed to God to continue to strengthen and empower the foundation to expand its humanitarian activities to other parts of Nigeria.

She also congratulated the foundation on its 25th anniversary and prayed for many more years of impactful service to humanity.

In her Speech, the Founder and Chairman, O.B Lulu-Briggs Foundation Dr. Seinye O.B. Lulu-Briggs, disclosed that the Foundation has focused on improving lives in underserved communities, particularly in the Niger Delta, through healthcare, education, elderly care, legal support and access to safe drinking water.

She said the anniversary was a time of gratitude and renewed commitment to serving humanity, noting that the Foundation was established on the late High Chief Dr. O.B. Lulu-Briggs’ belief that caring for people in need was a worthy contribution to national development.

In his sermon, the Presiding Pastor of The King of All Kings Church of the Capstone in Kaduna, Rev. Dr. Christopher Delvan Gwamna, said nothing could erase the achievements recorded by the O.B Lulu Briggs Foundation, which he described as a pacesetter in humanitarian service.

He said the Foundation had demonstrated the importance of protecting human life and treating people with dignity and sanctity, stressing that every human being was created in the image of God.

Rev. Devon, who reflected on his own journey from humble beginnings to international ministry, urged Nigerians to “stand up, stand tall and stand out,” saying background or circumstances should not limit an individual’s God-given potential.

He described the Foundation’s 25th anniversary as a significant moment, expressing optimism that its impact would continue to inspire positive change in Rivers State and Nigeria.

Several beneficiaries extolled the humanitarian activities of the O.B Lulu-Briggs Foundation, especially its sustained support through food supplies, monthly free medical care and financial assistance.
