Usain Bolt pops the question to longtime girlfriend Kasi Bennett

Usain Bolt’s 40th birthday celebration turned into a night that his longtime girlfriend, Kasi Bennett, certainly did not see coming.

The sprinting legend has proposed to Bennett, with the former athlete posting a series of pictures on social media with the caption, ‘A Million Moments led us to here.’

Posts shared earlier on her Instagram suggested that she had been involved in organising the celebrations for the Olympic great, apparently without knowing that she would end up being the one receiving a very different kind of surprise.

After more than 10 years together, the proposal marks another major milestone for one of athletics’ best-known couples.

Bolt and Bennett have built a family together during their relationship and are parents to three children.

Their first child, daughter Olympia Lightning, was born in May 2020.

The couple then welcomed twin boys, Thunder and Saint Leo, in June 2021.

Their relationship has therefore grown far beyond Bolt’s extraordinary career on the track, with the pair now entering a new chapter as an engaged couple and parents of three.

For Bolt, who became one of the most recognisable athletes in the world through his dominance in the 100m and 200m, turning 40 was already a significant milestone.

But his birthday celebration ended up becoming memorable for another reason entirely.

While Bennett had been helping prepare for his big night, Bolt had apparently managed to keep his own plans under wraps.

And judging by Bennett’s reaction, he pulled off the surprise.

After spending more than a decade together and raising three children, Bolt and Bennett now have another milestone to celebrate, their engagement.
