Nigeria’s Falconets were held to a 1-1 draw by Korea Republic in their final friendly ahead of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup at the Remes Sports Leisure and Spa Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
Mary Mamudu put the Falconets ahead in the 29th minute, continuing her impressive form in front of goal.
Mamudu had also found the net in Nigeria’s previous warm-up encounter against Poland last Saturday.
Korea Republic, however, battled back and restored parity from the penalty spot 12 minutes from time to ensure the contest ended all square.

The Falconets will now turn their attention to their opening World Cup fixture against Spain at the Arena Sosnowiec in Sosnowiec on Monday, September 7.
Moses Aduku’s side will return to the same venue for their second Group F encounter against China on Thursday, September 10.
Nigeria will round off their group-stage campaign against New Caledonia at the Stadion Miejski ŁKS Łódź in Łódź on Sunday, September 13.
The Falconets will be hoping to build on their encouraging performances in the warm-up matches as they seek a strong start to their World Cup campaign.
