Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would consider its performance a failure if opposition parties secure up to 25 per cent of votes in the state during the 2027 general elections.
Speaking in an interview with TVC on Sunday, Sani expressed confidence that Kaduna would deliver overwhelming support for President Bola Tinubu, citing federal projects and interventions in the state over the past three and a half years.
“In Kaduna, we are not talking about 70 per cent. Allowing any candidate to even get 25 per cent in Kaduna is a failure on our side because President Tinubu has done for Kaduna something we never dreamt of having,” he said.
The governor criticised opposition parties for relying heavily on social media attacks rather than engaging voters directly through rallies and town hall meetings.
He noted that while the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) had been visible in grassroots outreach, parties like the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) were absent from such efforts.
Sani further accused opposition groups of deploying artificial intelligence and manipulated images to discredit the APC online, insisting that genuine voter engagement remains the key to winning elections.
“We are the only party that is reaching out, talking to the people. So, whether the opposition decides to come together or not, it’s not our business,” he added.
