Bundesliga, with the reported transfer currently rated at 40%.Blank, 22, is under contract with Salzburg until 30 June 2028 but has yet to feature for the Austrian club this season. He has been unused in four Bundesliga matches, one Austrian Cup game and four Europa League qualifying fixtures.The centre-back returned to Salzburg in June after spending the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Hannover 96. His return followed a spell in Germany, and the move to Braunschweig would represent another switch to the 2. Bundesliga.Blank joined Salzburg from Borussia Dortmund II in February 2024 in a deal worth 4m. He had developed through Dortmunds academy and won the German Under-19 Bundesliga title with the club in 2021-22.His current market value is listed at 1.2m. Any move would therefore come with Salzburg holding a long-term contractual position, rather than facing an imminent expiry.Braunschweig, who would provide the proposed destination in Germanys second tier, have been linked with Blank as Salzburg assess their defensive options and the players immediate first-team prospects. For now, the defender remains a Salzburg player and has not made an appearance in the 2026-27 campaign.
