KCCA ease past newcomers URA Ladies

KCCA Women made a brilliant start to the new FUFA Women Super League season, overcoming newly promoted side URA Ladies. In the game played on Sunday at Hamz Stadium -Nakivubo, the Kampala Queens cruised to a 3-0 win over the Tax Collectors.

The game marked the return of coach Hamza Lutalo who replaced Ethiopian tactician Asefa Firew Hailegebreal last month.

Kamiyati Naigaga brace and a goal from Rinah Ariho guided KCCA Women to victory.

Naigaga fired the visitors into an early lead, converting from the spot in the 11th minute before Ariho doubled the lead at the stroke of half time.

Naigaga got her second of the day and KCCA’s third, just a minute after restart to put the icing on the cake.

In the other games played on Sunday, She Maroons secured a 3-0 win over Rines at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.Bridget Nabisaalu, Lillian Mutuuzo and Jackie Adong scored the goals for the Prison Sentries.

Uganda Martyrs claimed a 1-0 win over Lady Doves in Masindi courtesy of Ritah Jessica, St. Noa and Makerere University won with an identical 1-0 win against She Corporate and Amus College respectively.
