Video showing transformation of 3 children rescued after being branded witches and starved in Akwa Ibom

Danish aid worker, Anja Ringgren Loven, has shared a lovely video showing the remarkable recovery and transformation of three children she rescued three months ago after they were accused of witchcraft, starved, abused and abandoned in Akwa Ibom.

The video she posted on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 shows the kids, Elijah (oldest) Goodnews (middle) and Godbless (youngest) going to school for the first time in their lives after three months of nutrition, medical care and love.

“3 months ago we rescued 3 children severely starved, abused and beaten. They needed urgent care. Your support helped save their lives!,” she wrote.

“Yesterday they put on school uniforms for the very first time !!

“The pride in their eyes. The smiles. The way they walked to school knowing they belonged there.

“A school uniform may seem like a small thing. For our children at Land of Hope it means something much bigger: I am worthy. I can learn. I can have a future. Thank you !!.”
