Mahama Ayariga engages Regional Ministers on strengthening local governance

Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Mahama Ayariga, has held a courtesy engagement with a number of Regional Ministers as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the Ministry and the regions.

The engagement provided an opportunity for the ministers to connect, exchange perspectives and discuss issues directly affecting the development of the various regions.

In a post on Facebook, Mr Ayariga said discussions focused on improving coordination between the Ministry and the regions, particularly in the area of local governance.

“I welcomed a number of Regional Ministers to the Ministry for a courtesy engagement, providing an opportunity to connect, exchange perspectives, and discuss issues that directly affect the development of our regions,” he stated.

He said the discussions also centred on addressing the needs of communities and ensuring that development initiatives benefit people across the country.

“Our discussions focused on strengthening collaboration between the Ministry and the regions, particularly in advancing effective local governance, responding to the needs of our communities, and ensuring that development reaches every part of the country,” he added.
