HONOR is bringing its Magic V6 foldable smartphone to South Africa, offering superb performance and AI-powered features in a cutting-edge form factor.
The new smartphone was launched locally at The Venue in Melrose Arch, and MyBroadband was in attendance.
At the event, it was confirmed that the HONOR Magic V6 will release in South Africa on 1 September and will cost R39,999.

The HONOR Magic V6’s hinge is built to last.
It uses aerospace-grade processing and a 2,800 MPa steel shield structure to ensure it can withstand half a million folds with ease while boasting great resilience against accidental drops.
IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings also allow the Magic V6 to be submerged in up to 1.5 metres of water without issue.
The Magic V6’s screen uses HONOR’s innovative Anti-Scratch NanoCrystal Shield, which provides all-around protection of the display.
Thanks to this, the Magic V6’s display is significantly more resistant to drops and scratches.

The Magic V6 is powered by a 3rd-generation, 8-core Oryon CPU, which clocks up to 4.6GHz and delivers unmatched performance.
This allows the Magic V6 to offer several new AI features that improve everyday usage and make your life easier.

– Turns the smartphone into a pocket AI workstation by splitting your screen and activating your AI assistant – all with a quick fold motion.

Along with these impressive AI features, the Magic V6 is compatible with Apple devices and can seamlessly integrate into the Apple ecosystem.
All these features are powered by an immense 6,660mAh battery, the largest ever equipped by a foldable smartphone.
In addition to the launch of the Magic V6, the event revealed several other AI-powered products that HONOR is adding to its catalogue.
This includes the HONOR Pad 20, a highly advanced tablet with a massive 10,100mAh battery and a super slim form factor.
The HONOR MagicBook X14 is a powerful new laptop equipped with an all-new 3rd Gen Intel Core 3 Processor and up to 13 hours of battery life.
There was also a surprise appearance by the HONOR Robot Phone, a revolutionary new device featuring an AI-powered Gimbal that offers unmatched creative freedom for photographers and videographers.
