Division One League coaches set for pre-season technical workshop

Coaches from the UMB Division One League will attend a one-day workshop as part of preparations for the 2026/27 season.

The session, organised by the Technical Directorate, is intended to improve technical standards, reinforce professional conduct and establish a common understanding of key issues before the campaign begins.

Technical Director Prof. Joseph Kwame Mintah will lead the workshop with members of the Technical Directorate. Representatives from Division One League clubs will take part in discussions focused on their duties and responsibilities during the season.

The meeting is part of the associations preparations to ensure clubs and their officials are equipped for the demands of the new campaign. It will also provide coaches with the opportunity to raise concerns and discuss important matters directly with the Technical Directorate.

A central part of the engagement will be a reminder of the standards expected from coaches throughout the competition. Those attending will be urged to maintain discipline, uphold professionalism and comply fully with the regulations governing football competitions.

The Technical Directorate will also present its guidance and expectations before coaches begin their work with their respective teams in what is expected to be another demanding UMB Division One League campaign.

The 2026/27 UMB Division One League season is scheduled to start on the weekend of September 18-20, 2026.

With clubs now entering the final phase of their preparations, the workshop will give coaches information intended to support their work across the campaign. It will also allow the Technical Directorate to communicate directly with those responsible for leading the teams before competitive action begins.

The one-day engagement therefore forms part of the wider preparations for clubs, coaches and officials ahead of the new season, with the emphasis placed on technical improvement, professional standards and adherence to competition rules.
