Turkiye’s Havelsan, Egyptian AOI ink sales deal for jointly developed drone

Turkish Havelsan and Egyptian Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) signed a deal to start sales of their jointly developed Hamza-1 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), Anadolu reports. The contract was finalized during the El Alamein International Airshow 2026, marking a new milestone in the two firms’ collaboration. The deal followed a cooperation agreement signed in August 2025 to establish the framework to manufacture vertical takeoff and landing drones in Egypt. Havelsan’s autonomous systems engineering and AOI’s localized manufacturing infrastructure were combined in the making of the Hamza-1 platform.
