The conversation surrounding BBNaija reality tv show star Dorathy Bachor and content creator cum actor, Broda Shaggi gained attention on March 5, 2026, when the comedian shared romantic pictures of himself and the former Big Brother Naija housemate on Instagram.
His caption immediately got people talking as he suggested that he had found someone special. He wrote:

“The very first day I saw you, something in my heart knew… you were the one. I finally found my missing rib, guys!.”

Broda Shaggi went further to express his desire to spend forever with Dorathy and asked fans to wish them well as they began a new journey together.

He also used the hashtag #ShaggDor2026 and indicated that they would make things official that Saturday, adding another layer of curiosity to the announcement.

Dorathy was not left out of the exchange. She responded in the comment section, referring to the comedian as “mi Amor” and writing, “Everyday with you mi Amor but first let’s PRAY.”

Their interaction generated excitement among fans, with some congratulating the pair and others wondering whether the announcement was a genuine relationship reveal or another playful social media moment.
However, despite the romantic declarations, neither entertainer provided a clear explanation of their relationship status. The promised Saturday announcement also left questions about what exactly they intended to make official.

Another development that brought attention to their relationship was Broda Shaggi’s shooting incident and the support he later said he received from Dorathy. On March 9, 2026, the comedian sustained a gunshot injury to his hip after being hit by a stray bullet while leaving a brand activation assignment.

The incident affected his mobility and forced him to step away from his regular entertainment activities while he focused on treatment and recovery.
Recall WITHIN NIGERIA shared on October 22, 2026, how Broda Shaggi recounted his experience, revealing that he underwent surgery in Nigeria before travelling to Dubai for further treatment.

He also spoke about the fears he experienced during his recovery, particularly the possibility that he might not be able to perform as he did before the incident.
The comedian’s return to social media on August 8, 2026, after months away, marked another stage in his recovery journey. His experience became relevant to the renewed conversation about Dorathy when he publicly appreciated her for standing by him during the difficult period.

Although the nature of their relationship remained unclear, his acknowledgement of her support added another dimension to the public’s interest in the pair.

Months after their March exchange, Dorathy and Broda Shaggi found themselves at the centre of another round of relationship speculation.

On Friday, October 30, 2026, a video showing the two entertainers together surfaced online. In the clip, they were seen lying together on a bed, sharing an affectionate moment. Dorathy also displayed what appeared to be a ring, while Broda Shaggi spoke lovingly about her.
The comedian repeated the romantic declaration he had made months earlier, saying:

“The first day I saw you, something in my heart knew you were the one. I have finally found my missing ribs.”

He also appreciated Dorathy for standing by him during his recovery from the shooting incident. The video quickly attracted attention, particularly because of the ring and the comedian’s affectionate words.

For some netizens, the moment appeared to suggest that their relationship had moved beyond the romantic hints shared in March.

The ring became a major talking point, with some interpreting it as a possible engagement ring. This speculation was further fuelled by Dorathy’s words in the video, in which she asked her followers, “Can your man buy you 150 pounds carat gold ring?”
The question attracted attention because of its timing and the growing speculation about her relationship with Broda Shaggi. See video below:

As conversations about the alleged engagement continued, Dorathy eventually reacted to the attention surrounding her private life. On October 31, 2026, the reality TV star expressed frustration with people constantly poking into her affairs. She wrote:

“For someone who minds her business, you people really love to poke me. Leave me alone.”

Her response came after the viral video and the growing discussions about her relationship with Broda Shaggi. However, Dorathy did not use the opportunity to confirm an engagement or announce that she was officially dating the comedian. She also did not explicitly deny the rumours.

Instead, her message appeared to focus on the attention she was receiving and her desire to be left alone. This left fans with much of the same question that had followed the pair since their first romantic exchange in March.
