Super League of Malawi (Sulom) disciplinary committee has found FCB Nyasa Big Bullets guilty of misconduct during their FDH Bank Premiership match against Ekhaya FC played at Mpira Stadium on July 19 this year.
A statement from Sulom says the People’s Team has been slapped with a K3.5 million fine for the offence and a directive that they risk to lose maximum points in future should they be involved in similar incidents in future.
This was after some Bullets fans threw objects into the field of play which led to a temporary stoppage.

Reacting to the verdict, Bullets acting chief executive officer Albert Chigoga said it is disappointing that the club continues to spend millions on disciplinary issues.
“It is high time our supporters began to genuinely reflect on their actions to avoid putting their own team into issues like this. Respect is one of the greatest values in football,” he said.
This comes despite a campaign lunched by the club during the off-season to crack down on acts of hooliganism and violence at their matches after spending K12 million on fines last season.
The club’s director responsible for supporters Mphatso Kamzingeni Zulu met the supporters’ leadership in March this year to strategise on the drive.
In an interview at the time, Kamzingeni Zulu said as a first step towards achieving their goal, they came up with disciplinary and security committees.
He said: “So, my message here is very clear—next season we do not want any acts of indiscipline that tarnish the image of the team. We won’t entertain pitch invasion and things of that nature.
“We will work with the zonal committees to reach out to all our gans. There will be zero tolerance to acts of indicipline.”
The club’s national supporters committee general secretary Archbald Kasakura said under the guidance of the responsible director, they have been meeting to find a way of addressing such acts “which have been putting the club in bad light”.
