According to a report by Times of India (TOI) on Tuesday October 13, 2026, Fresh US and Israeli military aircraft activity across the Middle East is fueling speculation that preparations may be underway for another strike on Iran as Iran simultaneously conducts ballistic missile exercises and regional tensions climb sharply.
Iran’s Taznim news agency reported that Israeli and American linked military aircraft recently entered Iraqi airspace, describing the activity as a serious violation of Iraq’s sovereignty.
According to the report, two F-16 fighters and two F-35 stealth jets entered from the direction of Jordan and Israeli controlled territory, while five US KC135 aerial refueling aircraft provided operational support.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has separately claimed continued US military flights despite Washington’s September 30th withdrawal deadline.
The group said it recorded 14 American military flights in Iraqi airspace on that day alone, including a KC135 over on Bar and the Euphrates Basin, a C130 operating from Al-Assad, an F-35 crossing near Baghdad International Airport, and F-16s over Baghdad and Basra.
The claims come after the Pentagon announced the end of Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq with US forces leaving Airbill Air Base. Iraqi officials said no foreign combat forces or permanent bases remained.
