The session is being organised through the GFAs Technical Directorate and will focus on improving technical standards, strengthening professionalism and creating a shared understanding of important issues before the new season begins.
GFA Technical Director Dr. Joseph Kwame Mintah will lead the workshop alongside members of the Technical Directorate. Coaches from Premier League clubs are expected to take part in discussions covering their roles and responsibilities throughout the upcoming campaign.
The engagement forms part of the associations preparations to ensure clubs and their officials are ready for the demands of the new season. It will also give coaches an opportunity to raise and discuss matters directly with the Technical Directorate.
Areas relating to the technical and administrative running of the competition will be considered during the virtual meeting. The aim is to support the smooth organisation of the Ghana Premier League and encourage consistent professional standards among all participating clubs.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the conduct of team officials. Coaches will be reminded of the need for discipline, professionalism and strict compliance with the regulations governing football competitions.
The Technical Directorate will also use the workshop to outline its guidance and expectations to coaches before they take charge of their respective teams in another demanding Premier League campaign.
The GFA expects the session to provide participants with practical advice and relevant information as clubs complete their final preparations for the start of the competition.
The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to begin on Saturday, 5 September 2026. Vision FC will host Young Apostles in the opening fixture at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema New Town.
That match will mark the beginning of a new top-flight campaign, with Ghana Premier League clubs competing for honours in a season expected to deliver a highly competitive and entertaining contest.
The workshop is therefore intended to help coaches address key technical, administrative and disciplinary matters before competitive action gets under way. By bringing the clubs coaches together in advance, the GFAs Technical Directorate will provide a common platform for discussing the standards expected across the league.
The associations initiative comes as teams enter the final stage of their preparations for the 2026/27 season, with coaches set to receive guidance designed to support their work throughout the campaign.
