Primate Ayodele Reveals What He Saw About Tinubu And Peter Obi’s Presidential Race
Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church in a video shared on Monday 12 October, 2026, has issued fresh warnings to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 presidential election, cautioning that political strategies and church support alone may not guarantee victory at the polls.
In the video containing his prophetic message, Ayodele addressed the two politicians separately, questioning Tinubu’s current political strategy while also warning Obi about the limitations of relying on church support and the Obidient Movement in his presidential ambition.
Addressing Tinubu, Ayodele warned that the president’s current approach might not be enough to secure another term in office. He said, “Tinubu, the strategy you are using will not give you victory in the 2027 election.”
The statement serves as a warning to the president as political activities gradually build towards the next general election. Tinubu won the 2023 presidential election under the All Progressives Congress and is expected to face opposition from several political figures if he seeks re-election in 2027.
Turning his attention to Peter Obi, the cleric also warned that the former Anambra governor should not assume that support from religious institutions would automatically translate into electoral victory.
“Obi, the church will not give you victory, but the Obidients can give you victory,” Ayodele said.
The remark highlights the distinction between support from religious institutions and the political mobilisation of Obi’s supporters. The Obidient Movement gained national prominence during the 2023 presidential election, when Obi attracted considerable support, particularly among young Nigerians.
The cleric also raised concerns about the role of the Independent National Electoral Commission in ensuring that the electoral process produces a credible outcome.
“If INEC allows a wrong candidate to win the election, Nigeria will get so many things wrong,” he warned.
