Fastjet Zimbabwe and the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA), on Friday announced a partnership to promote the upcoming Sanganai Hlanganani Dzimbahwe Tourism Expo.
The deal reinforces their shared commitment to growing tourism, strengthening air connectivity and showcasing Zimbabwe as a premier tourist destination.
In a statement, Fastjet said the partnership will result in fastjet Zimbabwe making special in-flight announcements on some flights across its network, promoting the Sanganai /Hlanganani/ Dzimbahwe Tourism Expo, to be hosted in Masvingo from 9 to 12 September 2026. The Expo is expected to bring together regional and international tourism professionals.
“We are delighted to partner with the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry through the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority in promoting this year’s edition of Sanganai / Hlanganani / Dzimbahwe Tourism Expo 2026. Our route network is designed to showcase and provide access to some of Zimbabwe’s leading tourist attractions, culture, heritage and gastronomy experiences. This partnership provides Fastjet Zimbabwe with an opportunity to further contribute to the growth of tourism in Zimbabwe,” Fastjet Zimbabwe Business CEO and Country Head, Donahue Cortes, said.
ZTA CEO George Manyaya said aviation is a key catalyst for tourism growth and central to positioning Zimbabwe as a regional hub for leisure and MICE tourism. “Aviation connects markets, while tourism creates demand for those connections. Fastjet’s promotion of Destination Zimbabwe and Sanganai/Hlanganani/Dzimbahwe Tourism Expo in-flight gives us a high-impact platform to inspire travel, boost destination visibility and drive arrivals. This partnership demonstrates the powerful synergy between aviation and tourism, connecting Zimbabwe to markets, visitors to experiences, and ultimately unlocking greater economic value for the country.”
