Troops arrest impostor posing as soldier in Adamawa

Troops of Sector 4 of the Nigerian military have arrested a suspected impostor allegedly posing as a soldier at Tsamiya Checkpoint in Barama, Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

This was disclosed in a statement posted on X by counter-terrorism expert, Zagazola Makama on Tuesday.

Makama stated that the suspect was apprehended at about 6:40 p.m. on September 27, 2026, while allegedly parading himself as a military personnel.

He added that preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect reportedly dressed in a military uniform to defraud unsuspecting civilians.

“Troops recovered one mobile phone, one power bank and one MP3 player from the suspect.

“The suspect remains in military custody for further investigation and appropriate action**,” **he said.
