You Are My Office Until 2027, Geoffrey Mosiria Tells Nairobi Residents

Geoffrey Mosiria has told Nairobi residents that he does not need a physical office to serve them, insisting that the people themselves will remain his priority as he prepares for the 2027 gubernatorial contest.

In a message directed at Nairobi residents, Mosiria emphasised the importance of remaining accessible to the public and responding to the challenges affecting ordinary citizens. He said residents would effectively become his office as he continues engaging with them ahead of next year’s election.

“Watu wangu wa Nairobi, I don’t need a physical office to serve you. I need you because you are my office now moving forward till you elect me as your governor next year,” Mosiria stated.

His remarks underline his emphasis on direct engagement with residents rather than relying solely on a traditional office setting. For many Nairobians, issues such as insecurity, family disputes, child abuse and gender-based violence remain important concerns that require timely attention and effective responses.

Beyond his political message, Mosiria used the statement to encourage residents to speak out against violence within homes and communities. He urged people who witness children being beaten or mistreated to report such incidents instead of remaining silent.

He also addressed men experiencing violence from their partners, encouraging them to seek assistance. Similarly, he called on women and girls facing gender-based violence from their partners to report the abuse.

Mosiria provided the phone number 0707946783 for residents who wish to report cases through calls or WhatsApp. He further encouraged them to share evidence to support the documentation of reported incidents.

The message places public accessibility and the reporting of abuse at the centre of his engagement with Nairobi residents. However, the effectiveness of such an initiative will depend on how reports are handled and whether victims receive appropriate support and protection.

As the 2027 gubernatorial race approaches, Mosiria’s message offers residents an indication of the issues he wants to address while seeking their political support.
