Oumar Nauffal’s red card a big blow in Medeama draw – Winfred Dormon

Dreams FC coach Winfred Dormon has described Oumar Nauffals red card as a major setback after his side surrendered a late lead in their 2-2 draw with Medeama SC on Wednesday.Dreams FC looked on course for their first Ghana Premier League win of the season after Abdul Razak Salifu restored their lead in the 86th minute at the Tuba AstroTurf.However, Nauffals dismissal in the 55th minute had left the home side with 10 players for the final stages, allowing Medeama to maintain pressure before Rahman Osmans own goal in the 90th minute rescued a point for the defending champions.Dormon believes the dismissal significantly affected Dreams FCs efforts to secure all three points.We went into the break. We did one or two tactical adjustments. We came in from the break and we decided to go high. We were getting some pockets of chances, but we didn't take them until the red card, another red card again, which is a big blow, he said.Despite playing with a numerical disadvantage, Dreams FC regained the lead late in the game and appeared set to hold on for victory.The draw leaves Dreams FC bottom of the league with one point from two matches, while Medeama have two points from two games, with their fixture against Port City FC still outstanding.Dreams FC will next face Bechem United as they continue their search for a first win.
