Egypt and China strengthen bilateral security and diplomatic ties

Egypt and China issued a comprehensive joint statement reaffirming their shared commitment to stability in the Middle East, calling for a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and urging the unhindered flow of humanitarian aid into the besieged enclave.

In the joint declaration, both nations emphasized the critical need to solidify a lasting ceasefire in Gaza while demanding the immediate removal of restrictions hindering aid delivery.

Cairo and Beijing also advocated for the swift return of the Palestinian Authority to govern the Gaza Strip as a vital step toward restoring administrative unity and political stability.

Expressing severe concern over escalating regional tensions, both governments condemned the dangerous military escalation by Israeli forces across the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

They highlighted deep alarm over the rising pace of settler violence, systemic land confiscation, and expanding settlement construction, warning that such actions actively undermine peace prospects.

Egypt and China underscored the paramount importance of safeguarding Palestine’s territorial integrity.

Extending their diplomatic posture to North Africa, both powers called for strict respect for Sudan’s sovereignty, territorial unity, and national institutions, firmly rejecting any external interference in internal Sudanese affairs.
