Best Assurance donates GH¢100,000 to GETFund to support education

Best Assurance Company Limited has donated GH¢100,000 to the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) to support the provision of teaching and learning materials in underserved communities across Ghana.

The contribution forms part of the insurance company’s partnership with GETFund under the Educational Financial Partnerships Initiative (EFPI).

The cheque was presented on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at a ceremony at the GETFund Head Office, where the Managing Director of Best Assurance, Robert Wugah, presented the donation to the GETFund Administrator, Paul Adjei.

Mr Wugah said the contribution was aimed at supporting the provision of essential educational resources, including textbooks, stationery and other teaching and learning materials to improve classroom instruction.

He commended GETFund for its efforts to address infrastructure and resource gaps within Ghana’s education sector, saying the partnership reflected the company’s commitment to supporting educational development.

Best Assurance seeks broader partnership

Beyond the donation, Mr Wugah expressed the company’s interest in developing a long-term relationship with GETFund.

He said Best Assurance was prepared to provide GETFund with corporate insurance solutions covering areas including motor, fire, engineering, marine, bonds and accidents to support the Fund’s institutional and logistical needs.

Receiving the donation, Mr Adjei expressed appreciation to Best Assurance for its contribution and welcomed the company to the EFPI programme.

He said the funds would help improve access to educational resources and contribute to better learning outcomes, particularly in underserved communities.

Mr Adjei also expressed GETFund’s commitment to developing a sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership with the insurance company.

The partnership highlights the role of private-sector participation in supporting efforts to improve educational resources and outcomes in Ghana.

Mr Wugah was accompanied by the Deputy Managing Director in charge of Operations, Kofi Lartey; Deputy Managing Director in charge of Finance, Margaret Mutumina; and Chief Distribution Officer, Kweku Arko.
