Diomansy Kamara, the agent of Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr and Monaco’s Lamine Camara, has accused football clubs of disrespecting African players.
Kamara was left fuming after two of his clients missed out on deadline-day transfers.
Sarr had been the subject of interest from Liverpool, while Camara had agreed to a move to Chelsea, only for the Ligue 1 club to pull the plug at the last moment.
“We have to get out of this logic where the African player can sometimes give the feeling that he is just a commodity: you buy it, you set its price, you negotiate its future and, too often, your will seems to go into the background.
“Our African players deserve respect. The respect of their work. The respect of their careers. Respecting their ambitions. The respect of their voices,” Kamara said, according to the Daily Mail.
