Shadrack Sibiya resigns from SAPS, police confirm
SAPS says Shadrack Sibiya’s employment ended on 12 October after his representative submitted his resignation at a disciplinary hearing.

Lieutenant-General Shadrack Sibiya has resigned from the South African Police Service, which confirmed on Monday, 12 October, that his employment had ended with immediate effect.
In a statement published on its official X account, SAPS said Sibiya’s legal representative submitted the resignation shortly after disciplinary proceedings began on Monday morning.
The hearing had previously been postponed from 5 October to allow Sibiya to consult his legal representatives. EBNewsDaily reported that postponement last week.
