Unknown Individuals Arrested Over Drone Near MEC Commissioner’s Residence

Security personnel for Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) commissioner Dr Limbikani Kamlongera have arrested unidentified individuals who were seen flying a drone near her residence in Lilongwe.

Kamlongera told Zodiak Online that the incident happened on Friday while she was attending a commission meeting.

She said the individuals were apprehended by her security personnel while she was away.

“I can confirm that unidentified people were indeed arrested in connection to the incident which happened whilst I was away. You know our residence is a secured area,” she said.

Kamlongera said the matter had been reported to police for further investigations.
