RIP|| This Lady Died in a Painful Way, See What Her Boyfriend Allegedly Did to Her That Shock SA

A heartbreaking tragedy has left family members, friends and members of the community mourning the death of 22-year-old Botshelo Mabua, who was allegedly strangled to death in Rockville, Soweto, Gauteng.

According to information shared about the incident, Botshelo was allegedly killed by Sizwe Nkululeko Yende at his parents’ residence on 25 September 2026.

It is alleged that the two were involved in a verbal disagreement that eventually escalated into violence. During the confrontation, Yende allegedly strangled the young woman, leaving her with fatal injuries.

Botshelo was reportedly found deceased at the residence. Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene, but she was declared dead upon their arrival.

Following the incident, Sizwe Nkululeko Yende was arrested and charged in connection with Botshelo’s death. The case has brought renewed attention to the ongoing problem of violence against women in South Africa, where families continue to lose loved ones under devastating circumstances.

Beyond the tragic circumstances surrounding her death, Botshelo’s passing has also highlighted the promising future that was cut short.

The 22-year-old was reportedly completing her practical training in Geomatics through the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT). She was expected to graduate in 2027, meaning she was only a short distance away from reaching an important milestone in her academic journey.

For her loved ones, the loss is particularly painful because Botshelo had dreams, ambitions and plans for the future. Instead of celebrating her graduation and watching her build the life she had worked towards, those closest to her are now left grieving her absence.

Her death has also prompted renewed calls for stronger action against gender-based violence and for women to be protected from abusive situations.

Organisations and campaigners working against violence towards women have repeatedly highlighted the devastating impact these incidents have on families and communities. Every reported case represents a life lost and loved ones left struggling to understand why such a tragedy happened.

Although the allegations against the accused must be addressed through the legal process, the loss of a young woman with so much potential has left many deeply saddened.

Botshelo deserved the opportunity to complete her studies, graduate and pursue her dreams. Her life should not have ended at just 22 years old.

As her family and friends mourn, messages of sympathy and condolences continue to be extended to everyone affected by this devastating loss.
