Iran cancels all flights to United Arab Emirates

All flights operated by Iranian airlines to the United Arab Emirates have been canceled since midnight, the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported Thursday, citing a spokesman for Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, Anadolu reports. It also reported that a Tehran-Dushanbe flight was forced to return to Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran after Turkmenistan did not grant permission for Iranian airlines to fly through its airspace. The spokesman said the flight was unable to land at its destination because Turkmenistan had not issued permission for Iranian airlines to cross its airspace, forcing it to return to Tehran.
