Sanlian Forging has set up a subsidiary in Tangier and invested about $ 19.5 million in the new facility that will produce precision-forged automotive parts and electrical and electronic equipment for vehicles.
Morocco is Africa’s leading automotive manufacturing hub, producing over 1 million vehicles annually and generating billions in export revenue. Production is driven by global giants like Renault (operating in Casablanca and Tanger Med) and Stellantis (PSA Group), alongside over 250 tier-one suppliers and global parts manufacturers.
The sector is shifting toward green tech and EV battery supply chains with major investments injected in cathode and anode materials plants in Tangier and Jorf Lasfar.
