No school will be demolished for 24-hour market – Ashanti Regional Minister

Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has intervened in the controversy surrounding the alleged plan to demolish a school facility in the Ahafo Ano South West District for the construction of a 24-hour market.

In a statement, the Minister said his attention has been drawn to a viral video circulating on social media alleging that a school was to be pulled down for the market project.

“In response, I have directed the District Assembly to immediately halt all related activities. I have also summoned the relevant stakeholders to my office for a full review of the matter,” Dr. Amoakohene stated.
