Entebbe UPPC Football Club made it two-out-two victories to start the 2026-27 Uganda Premier League.
A hard-fought 2-1 triumph over a 10-man UPDF at Hamz Stadium on Matchday 2 ensured maximum points for the Printers on Tuesday, 1st September 2026.
UPDF took the lead in the 20th minute thanks to a well taken header from Derrick Taremwa after Robert Kitabalwa’s inviting corner kick.
Entebbe UPPC levelled through left back Thomas Ochungo after an inviting free-kick executed by Ibrahim Mugulusi.
The hosts missed taking the lead on the stroke of half time when Sharif Ssengendo headed over in front of goal after a great cut back by Steven Munguchi.

Second half substitute Ambrose Kigozi struck home a penalty with 20 minutes to play after he had been fouled in the forbidden area by UPDF defender Aggrey Kirya.
UPDF was reduced to 10 men following a professional foul by Swaibu Kalule onto the largely impressive Congo (Brazzaville) midfielder Reich Triopmphe Kokolo in the 75th minute.
Kokolo was denied by goalkeeper Richard Anyama in a one-against-one incident with less than 10 minutes to play.
Entebbe UPPC held onto the lead to secure maximum points, making it six in two games following a 1-0 historic victory on the road against Vipers at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
Meanwhile, across town, NEC beat visiting Lugazi 3-1 at the MTN Omondi Stadium on the same day.
