Nigerian streamer and comedian Carter Efe has sparked excitement among Ghanaian entertainment fans following his arrival in Ghana, with social media buzzing over his anticipated meeting with dancehall superstar Shatta Wale.

Carter Efe arrived in Accra on Saturday, October 31, 2026, alongside his girlfriend, Taylor Jasmine, ahead of a livestream collaboration with popular Ghanaian content creator Made in Ghana.

Videos circulating on X (formerly Twitter) showed the Nigerian entertainer receiving a welcome from fans and content creators at the Accra International Airport.

However, much of the online conversation surrounding his visit has centred on his interest in meeting Shatta Wale, whose real name is Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr.

A post circulating under the trending hashtag #ShattaFestKumasi showed the owner of Chez Amis Restaurant welcoming Carter Efe ahead of his anticipated meeting with the Ghanaian musician.

The development generated reactions from fans, with some expressing excitement about the possibility of the two entertainers meeting, while others jokingly described Carter Efe as being eager to meet the dancehall star.

In another viral moment, Carter Efe was reportedly heard telling his girlfriend that Shatta Wale was bigger than American rappers Travis Scott and Lil Baby, as well as Nigerian singer Wizkid.

The comment has generated discussions among Ghanaian music fans, particularly supporters of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, whose rivalry remains a recurring subject of entertainment conversations in Ghana.

Carter Efe’s visit has also featured humorous exchanges about Ghanaian and Nigerian entertainment, including conversations about music, celebrities and the longstanding rivalry over which country has the best jollof rice.

During his livestream with Made in Ghana, the Nigerian entertainer also praised Ghanaian musician Kweku Smoke, describing him as one of the country’s standout artistes.

The visit comes as Carter Efe seeks support from fans for his nomination in the Best International Streamer category at the 2026 Streamer Awards, with the awards ceremony scheduled for November 12 in Los Angeles.

Although the anticipated meeting with Shatta Wale has become a major talking point online, confirmation of an actual meeting between the two entertainers was not established in the available reports and social media posts reviewed.

Carter Efe’s Ghana visit has nevertheless brought Nigerian and Ghanaian entertainment communities together online, with fans following developments from his livestream and interactions with local personalities.
