A 38-year-old woman, Madam Ataa, says she has been struggling to walk after experiencing a disturbing dream in which a relative allegedly pulled her right leg.
Speaking on the Obra Show, hosted by Ohemaa Benewaa on Nhyira FM and Adom TV, Madam Ataa recounted that she dreamt of a woman she identified as a relative of her husband attacking her right leg.
“I dreamt that a relative of my husband was pulling my right leg, so I forced myself out of the situation and used my left leg to kick her away.
“I prayed in the morning and continued with my life. But just when I was preparing to resume my china slippers business, I suddenly became unable to walk properly,” she said.
Madam Ataa’s five-month-old marriage to Mr David Kwame Appiah is also reportedly facing difficulties. She alleges that her husband has stopped providing money for her upkeep and often returns home late.
Her father, Mr Steven, claimed that his son-in-law recently brought schnapps and GH¢2,000 as part of efforts to end the marriage, but he rejected the proposal.
“I asked my in-law what the problem was so that we could settle it amicably, but he gave me no reason. All he wants is to end the marriage, which is strange to me,” he said.
Amid the marital crisis, Mr Steven is demanding that his son-in-law help seek medical treatment for his daughter’s leg and compensate her before he agrees to the dissolution of the marriage.
Although Madam Ataa accused her husband of neglect and other marital problems, she said she remains interested in saving the marriage and continues to wear her wedding ring.
Mr David Kwame Appiah has yet to respond to the allegations. The Obra team says it is prepared to hear his side of the story as it seeks to mediate the dispute.
What could be causing her difficulty walking?
This mystery is yet to be unraveled and resolved on the results-oriented social program in Ghana-OBRA CONNECT.
