The reserve build-up, which reached nearly US$2 billion in September 2026, was up from US$1,4 billion in June and represented about two months of import cover. The accumulation comes as Zimbabwe’s external position strengthens, with foreign-currency receipts reaching US$15,9 billion in the nine months to September, up from US$11,9 billion during the same period last year.
