Botswana name squad for Uganda Cranes double header

Botswana Head Coach Thaloba Nthaga has named a provisional squad of 26 players for the AFCON 2027 Qualifier double header against Uganda Cranes slated for next month.

The squad is comprised of three goalkeepers, eight defenders, seven midfielders and eight forwards.

Uganda Cranes will host the first leg on Saturday, 14th November at the Hoima City Stadium, while the return leg will come three days later.

It should be noted that both Uganda and Botswana are in the same qualification group (Group H) alongside Tunisia and Libya.

Uganda who already qualified as co-hosts of the 2027 edition alongside Tanzania and Kenya, already lead Group H on four points while Botswana are second on two points.

It should be noted that both Botswana’s opening qualifiers ended in two-all draws. Besides Uganda, only one other team will qualify from this group.
