The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Taraba State, Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha, has unveiled a 251-member campaign council, as the party begins its grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 governorship election. The council, structured into 23 directorates with additional Door-to-Door zonal and local government coordination offices, is expected to coordinate the campaign’s activities across the state ahead of the October 10 flag-off. Amb. Hassan Jika Ardo is appointed to serve as chairman of the council, while Engr. Augustine Bazing will serve as the alternate chairman. Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha In a statement signed by the Director Publicity of the Campagn Council, Sulieman Ibrahim Ahmed, and made available to newsmen in Jalingo, also named Hon. Sule Abubakar Ndigmay as Director-General of the campaign council, with Dr Yakubu Agbidye as alternate Director-General. The council’s directorates cover Strategy, Research and Planning, Women Engagement, Youth Engagement, Legal and Compliance, Persons With Disabilities; INEC Liaison, among others.

The governorship candidate charged members of the council to justify the confidence reposed in them by working diligently towards the success of the campaign and what he described as the project of fixing Taraba State. The campaign council’s structure also includes grassroots coordination through zonal and local government door-to-door offices, indicating a broad-based mobilisation framework for the campaign. The official flag-off of the campaign has been scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026, in Zing, headquarters of Zing Local Government Area.
