2027: INEC To Engage Stakeholders October 6

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced plans to engage Nigerians and key stakeholders as preparations intensify for the 2027 General Election.

According to INEC, the commission will hold a World Press Conference and National Stakeholders’ Engagement on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, in Abuja.

The event is scheduled to take place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre from 10:00 a.m.

The INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, is expected to address participants at the engagement.

The Commission said the meeting is part of its ongoing preparations for the 2027 General Election and an opportunity to engage the media, Nigerians and other relevant stakeholders ahead of the polls.

Attendance at the event is strictly by invitation, according to the Commission.

The development comes as INEC continues its preparations for the 2027 electoral cycle under the hashtag #NigeriaDecides2027.
