Global air travel demand is expected to grow significantly over the coming decades. According to the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) latest Long-Term Demand Projections, global passenger demand is expected to more than double by 2050, reaching 20.8 trillion revenue passenger kilometers (RPKs) under the organization's mid-range scenario. All regions are expected to see higher demand.
