OHO Group of Companies: Building Success, One Business at a Time

A new Nigerian business story is taking shape with the emergence of OHO Group of Companies, a diversified business group bringing together three already established enterprises; HO Farms Ltd, Xasu Entertainment Ltd and Xasu Homes Ltd; under one corporate vision. Rather than attempting to create one oversized company that does everything, OHO Group is adopting a model built around independently focused businesses, each designed to develop its own market, customers and revenue streams while benefiting from the strength of a common corporate structure. At the centre of this vision is Mr. Osasu Oviase, Chairman of OHO Group, whose leadership is focused on building businesses capable of growing beyond individual ventures into enduring Nigerian enterprises.

The Group’s approach reflects an increasingly important reality in Nigeria’s private sector: sustainable wealth creation can come from building several productive businesses rather than depending on a single industry. OHO Farms is positioned around agriculture and food production; Xasu Entertainment around entertainment, experiences and the creative economy; while Xasu Homes is focused on property, housing and lifestyle. Each company has a distinct commercial purpose, but OHO Group provides the broader strategic framework, corporate infrastructure and leadership through which these businesses can grow. Mr. Philips E. Obabueki, Group Corporate Strategist, is responsible for helping translate that wider vision into coordinated business strategy, positioning the companies to operate independently while contributing to a larger corporate story.

For ordinary Nigerians, the significance of the OHO model is ultimately practical. Successful companies create more than corporate names; they create opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship, commerce, production and participation in the economy. OHO Group is therefore entering the market with an ambition to build businesses that can become recognizable institutions in their respective sectors, while maintaining a deliberately measured approach to expansion. The Group’s strategy is one of lean beginnings, visible results and disciplined growth, allowing each enterprise to establish credibility through

what it actually does rather than through promises about what it intends to become.

OHO Farms: Turning Agriculture into an Economic Enterprise

Among the three companies, OHO Farms Ltd represents perhaps the clearest expression of the Group’s productive-economy ambitions. Founded in Benin City, Edo State, OHO Farms began with a straightforward mission of bringing quality, locally sourced agricultural products to consumers, with premium cassava flour as its first product. The company’s current product range has expanded to include onion powder, shea butter, hibiscus flower, pepper powder, garlic powder, yam flour and plantain flour, alongside fresh and grocery categories offered through its digital marketplace. Its stated philosophy combines traditional agriculture with processing, quality and innovation; moving beyond the idea of agriculture as simply planting and harvesting toward a broader value chain that takes products from the farm to the consumer.

That value-chain approach is central to the economic argument for OHO Farms. By connecting agricultural production with processing, packaging, distribution and direct consumer access, the company is positioning itself to create value at multiple points rather than leaving farmers dependent solely on the sale of raw produce. Its digital platform already provides access to multiple product categories and supports vendor registration, while its portfolio of processed agricultural products demonstrates an emphasis on adding value before products reach the market. The potential economic impact therefore extends beyond the farm itself: a growing agricultural enterprise can create demand for farmers, processors, packaging suppliers, logistics providers, distributors, retailers and other participants across the supply chain.

The company’s lean market-building strategy has also taken OHO Farms beyond conventional agricultural publicity and into Nigeria’s entertainment economy through strategic partnering sponsorships. In 2026, the company participated in the buildup around the Seyi Vibez – The Take Over concert on April 5, 2026, followed by a partnering sponsorship around Naira Marley Live in Abuja on June 27, 2026. These activations formed part of a broader lean-launch strategy designed to introduce OHO Farms to wider Nigerian audiences while connecting an agricultural brand with the country’s powerful youth, entertainment and lifestyle markets. Rather than treating marketing as an isolated advertising exercise, the approach gives the company opportunities to place its identity in environments where Nigerians already gather, communicate and consume culture.

Behind that development is a combination of business leadership and technical infrastructure. Mr. Osasu Oviase, Chairman of OHO Group and the executive figure identified with OHO Farms, provides the entrepreneurial vision behind the company’s growth, while Betamind Technology Limited serves as the company’s Chief Technical partner, powering the digital technology infrastructure behind its online presence. The OHO Farms website currently operates as an e- commerce marketplace with product categories, online ordering, multiple currency options and vendor registration, illustrating the company’s intention to combine agricultural enterprise with technology- enabled distribution.

Ultimately, OHO Farms is presenting a familiar Nigerian resource; agriculture, through a more commercially integrated lens. Its story is not simply about selling farm produce; it is about building a business that can participate across production, processing, branding, distribution and consumption, while creating room for other businesses and individuals to participate in the value chain. As OHO Group formally steps into the public consciousness, OHO Farms provides an early example of the philosophy behind the conglomerate: build individual businesses with real economic purposes, give each business room to succeed on its own merits, and then use the strength of the wider Group to accelerate their growth.
