The Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA), represented by the President of the Innovation, Digital Transformation and Social Communication Portfolio, Mahomed Adam, took part in the official launch of the Mozambican Artificial Intelligence Association (AMIA) in Maputo.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (INTIC), Eng. Lourino Chemane, representing the Ministry of Communications and Digital Transformation (MCTD).
AMIA brings together members of the private sector, academia and other institutions, with the aim of fostering Mozambique’s artificial intelligence ecosystem and positioning the country not only as a user, but also as a producer of solutions and initiatives in this area. Its priorities include promoting the ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence and strengthening digital literacy among Mozambicans.
The CTA welcomes the initiative and extends its congratulations to AMIA President Donald Dimas and all members of the association, reaffirming its commitment to digital transformation as a driver of competitiveness in the national economy.
