Delta Beverages has launched Zambezi MIST, a 4% alcohol-by-volume lager positioned around the proposition “All Beer. All Easy.”
The launch on Friday night introduced a smoother, lighter and more effortless drinking experience built on the heritage of Zambezi Lager and aimed at contemporary social occasions.
The event unfolded in a mist-themed setting, with crimson, green, orange and dark hues dominating the suggested dress code. Smoke machines recreated an atmosphere reminiscent of the spray and mist associated with Victoria Falls, while music, movement and visual effects turned the product unveiling into a lifestyle experience.
Zambezi MIST is brewed from 100% malt and has a moderate 4% ABV, Delta Beverages Marketing Manager–Lager Beer Kundayi Mawema said in launch communication.
The brand’s promise, “All Beer. All Easy,” is built around quality, flavour, refreshment and ease of drinking, she said.
Delta is presenting the lager as a companion for occasions ranging from braais and weekend outings to music festivals, sunset gatherings and informal catch-ups. It is available in cans and non-returnable bottles, according to the company.
At the launch, Master of Ceremonies Ms Red kept guests engaged as the programme unfolded, while a drone carrying Zambezi MIST-inspired green, red and off-white colours provided one of the evening’s visual highlights. Guests later sampled the new product as cheers and the clinking of glasses filled the venue.
Marketing executive Irimayi Muzorewa told guests that Delta intended to maintain product availability across beer outlets as demand builds. The company’s planned nationwide sampling and activation programme is expected to give consumers opportunities to experience Zambezi MIST at micro-events and other brand engagements.
Music provided another highlight, with Worae delivering a percussion-driven performance that drew revellers towards the stage. The multi-talented performer worked through his catalogue, combining energetic drumming and shaker rhythms.
His appearance also marked a significant brand moment, with Worae featuring in the Zambezi MIST advertising campaign and reinforcing the launch’s connection between contemporary Zimbabwean music and lifestyle culture.
For Delta, Zambezi MIST adds another proposition to an established beverage portfolio. The company’s Zimbabwean interests span lager and traditional beers, Coca-Cola-franchised soft drinks and other beverages, while the wider Delta Corporation group has interests in African Distillers and Schweppes Zimbabwe.
Delta’s official brand portfolio identifies Zambezi as an iconic Zimbabwean outdoor brand. Its 2025 annual report describes Zambezi Lager as a flagship premium brand associated with quality, relaxation and distinctly Zimbabwean experiences.
Zambezi MIST therefore enters the market as a modern interpretation of the beer occasion: premium in positioning, accessible in character and designed around the uncomplicated pleasure captured by its promise, “All Beer. All Easy.”
Delta said the new lager’s intended differentiation was a smoother, lighter and more effortless beer experience while retaining the quality credentials associated with the Zambezi brand family.
The company’s beverage interests extend beyond lager to traditional beer, carbonated and other soft drinks, maltings, distribution and logistics. Delta’s corporate material also highlights a distribution infrastructure serving customers across Zimbabwe.
