**The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) has expressed grief over the death of its former National President, Architect Kabiru Ibrahim Faskari, who died in Istanbul, Turkey, following complications from prostate surgery. **
In a condolence statement signed by AFAN’s current National President, Farouk Rabiu Mudi, the association described Faskari’s passing as a painful loss to AFAN, the agricultural sector, and the wider farming community.
Mudi noted that Faskari, who was both an architect and a farmer, made invaluable contributions to the development and advancement of Nigeria’s farming community during his lifetime.
He recalled that Faskari also served as President of the Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN) and was until his death the Chairman of the Agriculture Business Group, where he played a prominent role in shaping agricultural discourse in the country.
“On behalf of the National Executive Council, State Chapters, affiliated farmer organisations, and the entire farming community, I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of Arch. Kabiru Ibrahim, his relatives, colleagues and associates,” Mudi stated.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the deceased’s family, friends and associates the fortitude to bear the loss, while also asking Allah to forgive Faskari’s shortcomings, accept his good deeds and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus.
“May Allah grant him eternal rest and admit him into Al-Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen,” Mudi added.
Ibrahim Faskari, who was widely respected for his advocacy on food security and agricultural development, will be buried in Turkey, according to family sources.
