Bandits Reportedly Abduct over 10 Passengers, Driver Travelling from Kebbi to Abuja

Armed bandits have reportedly abducted more than 10 passengers and their driver while travelling from Yauri in Kebbi State to Abuja.

The incident is said to have occurred on Sunday, 25 October, though the exact location and full details of the attack remain unclear.A video circulating on social media and obtained by Daily Post shows the captives seated together.

In the footage, one victim makes a phone call, reportedly to his mother, while an armed bandit points what appears to be an AK-47 rifle at the group. The abductors are also seen forcing the victims to contact relatives to demand ransom, though the specific amount requested has not been confirmed.

The identities of the victims, their current location and condition remain unknown. As of the latest reports, security agencies had not issued an official statement on the incident or confirmed whether rescue operations had begun.
